One other comment.with the many installations of Kofax PaperPort 14.7 that I've done, the installer has never failed on the Redistributables (or, for that matter, on anything else). Btw, the 20 Redistributables (x86 and 圆4 for both) were already on the system, but I don't know if PaperPort 14.7 requires them. Anyway, you can see that the PP14.7 installer did install the 2015 Redistributable, so that may, in fact, be what Snowden saw. The reason for the one 3/19 date is that I started the installation just before midnight on 3/18 and the last installation occurred just after midnight. On many of the older systems, various Redistributables may have already been installed, but I just checked a new system where I installed it.here's what Programs and Features shows: On some of the systems, I don't have the 2015 Redistributable. 23 February 2016 VCRedist, VC++, Universal CRT, Win32 Robert Muehsig. I've installed Kofax PP14.7 many times since Kofax acquired PaperPort from Nuance. One problem was, that we use the VC++ 2015 runtime, which needs to be deployed on. Regards, Joe Update: Well, now I'm officially confused. I don't know which type of upgrade Snowden is doing (fresh or in-place), but the Redistributables required are the same in both cases. I discuss an in-place upgrade from Nuance PaperPort Pro 14.5 in this EE article: Free in-place upgrade of Nuance PaperPort Professional 14.5 to Kofax PaperPort Professional 14.7 Look at the 1:52 mark.you'll see the download of the 2005 Redistributable (and I recollect only one other.2008).ītw, that video shows a fresh install of Kofax PaperPort Pro 14.7. You can see this in my five-minute EE video Micro Tutorial: Free upgrade of Nuance PaperPort Professional 14.5 to Kofax PaperPort Professional 14.7 After that, click on the download button. On the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package page, select the language in which you want to download the package. He probably means the 2005 Redistributable, not the 2015 one. Go to the Microsoft Download Center website, type Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package in the search box, and press Enter. I was trying to say that he probably misread what Redistributable is needed.I doubt that the 2015 is needed, so downloading that is not going to help. > if the setup utility breaks installation because of the missing redistributable you don't have an option
